Motherhood is a sacred transition, one that deserves time, rest, and compassionate support. Omugo Postpartum Care was founded to ensure mothers receive the hands-on, holistic care they need during this pivotal season. Rooted in the Igbo tradition of Omugwo, it reflects a time when new mothers are nurtured, nourished, and relieved of household duties. Omugo reimagines this cultural wisdom for modern families. By bridging professional, evidence-based care with traditional nurturing, Omugo provides restorative, culturally sensitive support that honors every mother’s unique journey.
To provide compassionate, culturally sensitive postpartum care that empowers mothers to rest, recover, and reconnect, bridging modern clinical support with the timeless tradition of nurturing and community.
Our services provide compassionate, in-home support for mothers and newborns, combining recovery assistance, newborn care, lactation guidance, and emotional wellness to ensure a peaceful, confident transition through the fourth trimester.
Our philosophy is rooted in balance, honoring the body’s need for rest, the mind’s need for reassurance, and the heart’s need for connection, so every mother feels nurtured, supported, and empowered in her postpartum journey.
Omugo Postpartum Care focuses on four pillars of healing:
Each family receives individualized attention and flexible scheduling because every postpartum journey is unique.
